While The Dodo has been a staple of the Salt Lake experience for more than 30 years as a neighborhood gathering place, as the years have gone by and after a few migrations, we’ve nestled into Sugarhouse and now call it home. Our American Bistro menu and fine selection of local ales and wines are complimented with a casual upscale warm environment. We offer convenient To-Go service for those that want a fabulous meal to take to the park or to spend at home with the family. The bar area of The Dodo is anchored with an antique, imported from Paris, intricate rich wood bar finessed with ornate metal and granite work. You can always catch a game or the local sports news while enjoying a pint or glass of wine with friends. We are well known for some of our original menu creations, like the ever so popular Turkey Sandwich with homemade BBQ sauce, the Salade De Maison, Artichoke Pie, and Spinach Mushroom Feta Quiche. But by far our trademark of delectables are our amazing desserts!
Pastry Chef Ramon has 29 years of experience as our pastry chef and Andrea has been his assistant for over 8 years. Together, they have been awarded numerous awards for their creative, mouth watering and savory desserts. They create and prepare our six standard desserts and six new desserts daily. All together, they have created from scratch, more than 50 different delicious desserts during their time at The Dodo.
The Dodo restaurant is your local neighborhood restaurant at Sugar House Park, where you can enjoy gorgeous patio views and take in all that Sugarhouse has to offer.
